Log In Help

Our website is optomized for Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. Please allow pop-ups for www.riscolockbox.com. Other web browsers may not function properly. To log in, click the User Login button centered on the Navagation Bar at the top of any of our pages. You will be redirected to the log in page. Enter your Board ID in the first line. Use the RISCO Board ID List if you are unsure of your Board ID. Enter your ReaderKEY serial number in the second line and enter your ReaderKEY PIN in the third line.

Updating your ReaderKEY

Power On: Pressing and holding the red button for approximately 1 second (until the ReaderKEY beeps) will display the following screens depending on the condition of the ReaderKEY. The ReaderKEY will display an asterisk (*) or a pound sign (#) for each button press.

Time Out periods indicate how long the last message will display before the key powers off.


Entering Your Update Code

Key Not Expired: (Time Out=10 sec)

  • Correct Entry of PIN Code will display the main screen. (Time Out=1 min)

  • From the main screen press "3" for the Menu.

Notes: To determine your ReaderKEY version, look at the line directly under the bar code on the back of your key (not the Model #RK2 or #RK3)

  • READERKEY R3.x only: you must use the correct update code for the "EXP DATE" displayed on Screen 1. Previous codes ARE required to update.

  • READERKEY R5.x &Higher: Previous codes ARE NOT required to update.

  • Daily and Weekly Expirations CANNOT update via this menu function.


Key Expired: (Time Out=10 sec)

Notes:

  • READERKEY R3.x only: you must use the correct update code for the "EXP DATE" displayed on Screen 1. Previous codes ARE required to update monthly. Screen 1 will only display for 1/2 second.

  • READERKEY R5.x & Higher : Previous codes ARE NOT required to update. Screen 1 will display for 2 seconds.


  • Correct entry of Update Code: (Time Out=5 sec)

    • Incorrect entry of Update Code: (Time Out=3 sec)

    • (READERKEY R3.x only) Five (5) incorrect Update Code entries will "Device Lock": (Time Out=5 sec)

    • (READERKEY R5.x & Higher ) Five (5) incorrect Update Code entries will "Tamper Lock": (Time Out=5 sec)

 

Tamper Lock Reset Code

Tamper Locked Key: Tamper Reset Codes are available via our automated IVR telephone system at 913-722-3212 or www.RiscoLockBox.com/Orion (Time Out=10 sec)

  • Correct Entry of Tamper Reset Code, followed by correct PIN Code, results in main screen appearing:

    • Incorrect Entry of Tamper Reset Code: Power on to try again. (Time Out=5 sec)

    • Five (5) incorrect Tamper Reset Code entries will "Device Lock": (Time Out=5 sec


Device Lockup

Device Locked Key: MLS administrator must unlock by reprogramming with our PTK device - there is no reset code available. Contact your board or association office. (Time Out=5 sec)

Email tips

Please check your spam/junk mail folder. If found, you should mark our message as acceptable, or add our sending address: riscolockbox_updates@riscolockbox.com to your address book (do not forget the underscore character between riscolockbox and updates. Updates are automatically sent five days prior to the ReaderKEY expiration date.

Changing your Email address

  1. Log in here using your Board ID, Key serial number and PIN.
  2. After you log in, read any system messages that pop-up or use the close button on the system messages screen.
  3. Click the Maintenance button. Click My Info if you do not see your name, address, etc immediately after clicking Maintenance.
  4. Click the Modify button in the lower right corner. The email field may now be modified. Click Save when your are done. Your next email from Risco will be delivered to the new address.
  5. If you wish to add a second address to receive Risco emails, add a comma after the first address and type in another, then click Save
